The Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge (AFK) is the first step internationally trained dentists need to take in the NDEB equivalency process. At Prep Doctors, we have perfected a proven formula for helping you pass the NDEB AFK exam, honed over years of expertise and success.
The AFK exam is an extensive multiple-choice exam that tests your knowledge of biomedical and applied clinical science. With 200 single answer multiple-choice questions delivered in two parts, a passing grade is required before candidates can continue to the next NDEB exam in the equivalency process.
International dentists must refresh their dental knowledge from a Canadian standards perspective to write this exam. To meet this need, our AFK exam preparation course breaks down complex exam topics into manageable segments. In doing so, we ensure you are fully equipped to excel in the AFK exam and beyond.
Depending on your needs, we offer this course in two formats: Full On-Site Course and Full Online Course. The course features for both formats are outlined in the table below.

*Our Passing Guarantee is applied when a Training Doctor can prove that they did not clear the NDEB AFK exam while having passed all four mock exams (passing grade for mock exams is 75%), attended a least 90% of lectures, and passed all quizzes (passing grade for quizzes is 70%). Qualifying trainees will be allowed to take another AFK course within the following cycle or the cycle that follows that.
