Cadaver Training Participant Caution Statement
Cadaver-based training is intended solely as an educational experience to enhance anatomical understanding and procedural awareness. Participation in cadaver training does not establish clinical competence and does not replace supervised clinical training on live patients.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that any techniques learned are incorporated into practice only after obtaining appropriate education, training, supervision, and experience, and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and their legal scope of practice.
What this training includes:
- One cadaver per two participants
- Real human cadaver tissue
- Full mouth clearance sequencing
- Full anatomical dissection
- Anatomy orientation
- Flap handling
- Surgical extraction workflow
- Identification of vital structures and danger zones
- Recognition of real damage points during surgery
- Surgical ergonomics and controlled access
- Close instructor guidance
Admission Requirements:
Enrollment in the optional Cadaver Surgery & Anatomy Training session is restricted to participants who have successfully completed Prep Doctors’ Mastering the Basics of Surgery program or an equivalent foundational surgical training program approved by Prep Doctors.
This prerequisite is required to ensure participants possess the foundational surgical knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively participate in advanced anatomy and cadaver-based training.
Eligibility is verified through existing course completion records maintained by Prep Doctors or through documentation submitted by the applicant for review and approval prior to registration.
Education Necessity:
Cadaver-based anatomy and surgical training builds upon foundational surgical concepts, instrumentation, flap design, suturing, bone removal, and extraction techniques previously taught in introductory surgical training. Restricting enrollment to individuals with prior surgical education helps ensure a consistent baseline level of knowledge and maximizes educational outcomes for all participants.
